What determines whether a golf ball will carry on the wind or get knocked down?
James
James,
The lift forces on a spinning ball are dependent on the speed of the airflow over the ball. The greater the speed, the greater the lift. Thus a down-wind flight will have lower lift forces than an into the wind flight.
If you want to ride a right to left wind, aim right of target and hit it high with a slight draw and let the wind do the rest.
